The 21st Annual Blessed John XXIII National Seminary Golf Tournament is scheduled for Monday, May 20th, at The Weston Golf Club. This premier charity event is held to benefit the educational program for the seminarians. Tuition covers only half the cost of educating a seminarian and the proceeds from this tournament will help bridge the gap and keep the cost of educating them affordable. The $250 player entry includes lunch at the Club, 18 holes of golf with cart, and door prizes; followed by a social hour, silent auction and dinner for each golfer and a guest at the seminary. On Sunday morning, April 21, Cardinal Seán O’Malley will celebrate the 11:30 Mass at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross. He will offer this Mass for the repose of the souls of those who have died as a result of the recent bombings which took place during the Boston Marathon. We will also pray for those who were physically injured and for the brave men and women who saved countless lives as first responders. Cardinal Seán has said, “In the midst of the darkness of this tragedy we turn to the light of Jesus Christ.” Please join Cardinal Seán as together we turn to Christ, the Light of the World, praying for peace and healing for all those who have been affected by this act of violence.
