6:45am Weekday Mass at St. Paul

St_PaulThe daily Mass survey has been conducted at both St. Paul and St. John and the results are in. Clearly those attending the 6:45 at St. Paul are unable to travel to St. John for the 7:00 a.m. due to traffic, and an earlier Mass at St. John would not alleviate this issue. Unfortunately the 6:45 daily Mass currently celebrated at St. Paul parish will end Friday, October 2. I know this is not only an inconvenience but a painful loss for many. I ask for your understanding and prayerful support as I, Fr. Arthur and our pastoral staff continue to work hard to address the pastoral needs of the St. John / St. Paul Collaborative.

WYD_LogoWorld Youth Day, initiated by Pope John Paul II in 1986, attracts more than one million youth from almost every country. World Youth Day (WYD) is an opportunity for the youth of our parishes to learn about their faith and to build bridges of friendship and hope between continents, people, and cultures. The week-long event culminates with mass with the Holy Father.  We have around 30 young people from St. John-St. Paul hoping to travel to Kraków for WYD in 2016. We are asking for your help to support our young people by buying a ticket to our closed end raffle. Only 500 tickets will be sold. Ticket price: $100

1st prize: $5,000 2nd prize: $2,000 3rd prize: $1,000

The drawing will be held on October 12th, 2015. All proceeds will be used to send our young parishioners to World Youth Day.  A raffle form can also be downloaded here.

The 9:00am Family Mass Program is Back!

Family Mass_AltarWelcome Back! We are looking forward to an exciting year of praying and worshiping together, filled with wonderful liturgies, events and hospitality.
Participate in the Family Mass: There are many opportunities for parents and children to participate during the Family Mass. Would your child like to bring up the gifts one Sunday? Or help pass the collection basket? If so, please email our Family Mass Coordinator, Chrissy Cassa to schedule a day that works for your family.
Donuts & Coffee Hour: Please come downstairs to Powers Hall after the Family Mass for a cup of coffee, donut or bagel and catch up with friends. If you are new to the parish, this is a great time to connect with other St. John families!
And finally, this wonderful Family Mass social hour could not happen without your help! Please consider signing up for a Sunday to help with set-up and clean-up. An online signup form and all the details are on the web at: stjohnwellesley.org/donuts

Thank You!!!

Emmanuel Dim NigeriaAs I come to the end of my stay here in St. Paul’s and St. John’s Wellesley Collaborative, I thank God for the gift of every one of you, you have been so hospitable to me. I have got the chance to visit new places, meet new people and do new things (play golf and Red Sox etc.). I want to thank the Fathers for their wonderful fraternal support and warm welcome into the rectory community. To everyone, I appreciate your smiles and the interest you have shown in knowing my story and mission in Africa. You all are good and may God continue to bless you all abundantly. May we continue to keep the contacts and I would be very glad to continue to update and share with you my mission experiences. When I go home I will tell my people that I met the most wonderful people in the world. Hearty Cheers to you all!
